Ukraine (geopolitics)
The conflict in Ukraine continues to go
very bad (for the collective West). In a
desperate attempt to have some form of success, any
tiny success will do for the upcoming negotiations
of defeat, Kiev doubled down on their (botched)
Kursk invasion. The invasion the west calls a total
success is, yet again, an utter failure and a waste
of troops and materiel.
The collective west still dopes not know that it is impossible for Kiev to win. That is because the survival of Russia is at stake; if Kiev wins, Russia is destroyed, since that was always the plan. As such, Russia and Russians are willing to fight until the last Kievian/Moscovite. Since there are more of Moscovites, they will win. Moreover, Moiscow has nearly the entire world behind it, since the entire world has been screwed by teh west one way or another in the past.
The agenda is thus, EN repeats it once again:
1) Ukraine not part of NATO
2) Demilitarize and de-nazify Kiev
3) Equal rights for Russian ethnicity everywhere in Ukrainian territory
The peace proposal by Zelenski, giving up territories conquered by Moscow in exchange for the rest adhering to NATO, is thus utterly silly! The exact opposite might work, Moscow giving up all territories for the guarantee of Ukraine not joining NATO. But alas, even for that it seems to late, since Putin was betrayed over and over again by the West. For instance the Minsk I and Minsk II agreements. Of which Merkel and Hollande admitted that they were only to gain time, to supply weapons to Kiev for the inevitable war.
Meanwhile, a summary of teh battlefield last week (29 December 2024):
The wonder-weapon tanks (Abrams, etc) were a complete failure. The wonder-weapon F16s were a complete failure, marked by irrelevancy. 500 (five hundred!) ATACMS missiles were sent to Kiev ... to no avail; nearly all easily shot down. All offensive actions (2023 summer offensive the road to Azov, Kherson-Krinky Dniepr crossing, Kursk incursion) strategic failures. Some million soldiers died (KIA) or are MIA. Many WIA. Soon (January) the gas contracts of Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe will end. Kiev will be without electricity AND gas. Biden's administration promised to leave them in the cold and Trump promised to abandon all hope for Kiev. In the meantime the Russian forces are slowly but surely advancing. Of the strongholds only Chasiv Yar and Pokrovsk are left; after that the way to the Dniepr is open.
It is really game over from Washington's point of view. Or mission accomplished from Moscow's point of view. A pity that more than a million people had to die for the inevitable. And woe to all the war mongering Russophobes in the West that were cheering it all on the last years. It should have been THEM serving as cannon fodder at the front line, instead of innocent Ukrainian citizens. Nobody is a hero virtue signalling somebody else's death.
